What is a parlay bet?
A parlay (also called an accumulator significantly multiplied odds and larger potential payouts compared to single accumulator or express bet) is a single wager that links two or more individual selections. All legs must win for the bet to pay out — one loss voids the entire ticket. In return for the higher risk, parlays offer bets.
- Minimum 2 selections required
- Each selection's odds are multiplied together
- One losing leg = total loss of stake
- Popular in football, basketball, tennis, and other sports
How to calculate the payout for an express bet?
The formula is straightforward: multiply all decimal odds together to get the combined parlay odds, then multiply by your stake.
Formula: Payout = Stake x (Odds1 x Odds2 x ... x OddsN)
Calculation example
Suppose you build a 3-leg parlay with a $20 stake:
- Match A — odds 1.80
- Match B — odds 2.10
- Match C — odds 1.65
Combined odds: 1.80 x 2.10 x 1.65 = 6.237
Total payout: $20 x 6.237 = $124.74 | Profit: $104.74
